"The graphics and layout scared me away at first, but MP34U is actually a fun site that's based around a great idea. Music fans sign up to become "sources," and then post links to their favorite free, legal downloads, along with brief comments. You can browse through the songs that have been posted by genre or by date, or you can just learn which sources you trust and stick to their offerings (glancing over what's been posted recently, I like the looks of skyler and alien protocol). Three or four songs are posted most days, and the site has been around for more than four years, so there's a large library of free songs to dig through.
