$100 laptop project eyes launch

"The first batch of computers built for the One Laptop Per Child project could reach users by July this year. The scheme is hoping to put low-cost computers into the hands of people in developing countries. Ultimately the project's backers hope the machines could sell for as little as $100 (£55)". I think that this is a creative way to get children interested in computers. The computer looks fun and it looks like it will sell alot.

I think this is a very good idea, but sadly. I don't think it will work out as well as the makers had assumed.

I think that this is a great idea but i agree with Christian that it most likely wont work. 100 dollars is still a lot of money for most people.

I think these laptops are a great idea. Technology is becoming more useful everyday and I'm glad that less fortunate children will have a better chance of being able to take advantage of that. The computers look awesome too. I think if I were a kid I would love to have one.

This is a great invention for kids and evolving countries that don't have thousands of dollars to spend on a computer, however I think they will spend the little money that they do have elsewhere.
